April Fool

On this day of April fools

I find I am chief amongst them

not in the way I jest

not in the way I am blessed

but in how I see

so many things I think I see

so many not really there

I look around and realize

The greater fool am I

I take bakc not the things I see

and not what I have written

but I hold close my heart today

and tremble at it's power

I know not the decisions made

are foolish in this hour

but time will tell as it always does

if in time her heart will sour.
